Athletes, weekend warriors, and active clients seeking deeper therapeutic work benefit most. Ideal for those recovering from intense training, managing recurring tightness, or needing improved mobility. Therapists will adapt pressure and focus to individual sport demands and physical condition.
Your therapist begins with assessment and targeted warm-up strokes, then uses deep tissue, myofascial and stretching techniques tailored to your needs. Ninety minutes allows thorough attention to problematic areas, mobility work, and recovery-focused treatments.
Frequency depends on training load, competition schedule, and recovery needs. Many athletes benefit from weekly or biweekly sessions during heavy training, while monthly maintenance works offseason. Your therapist will recommend a plan based on goals, soreness patterns, and performance demands.
You may feel discomfort as tight tissues are worked, but therapists communicate pressure and adjust to tolerance. Discomfort differs from sharp pain; always inform your therapist if sensations worsen. Post-session soreness is normal but usually eases within 48 hours.
Contraindications include open wounds, deep vein thrombosis, recent fractures, severe infections, uncontrolled hypertension, or certain skin conditions. Inform us about medical history and medications during booking. Therapists will advise suitability or recommend medical clearance when necessary.
Hydrate well, rest, and apply light stretching to maintain gains. Use heat or cold as recommended, avoid intense workouts for 24 hours when possible, and schedule follow-ups. Contact us if unusual pain, swelling, or systemic symptoms occur.
