Get answers to common questions about ear candeling.
Ear candeling is performed by trained therapists using sterile, purpose-made candles. It creates a gentle suction and warmth; many clients find it relaxing. We follow strict safety protocols, monitor closely, and stop if you experience discomfort.
This holistic treatment can help loosen and remove excess earwax and impurities while promoting comfort. Results vary; some clients notice immediate relief, while others require complementary care or medical evaluation for persistent issues.
Arrive with clean, dry ears and avoid applying ear drops right before your appointment. Remove jewelry and glasses, and wear comfortable clothing. Inform your therapist about allergies, recent ear infections, or any ear surgery history.
Ear candeling is not suitable for everyone. Avoid if you have perforated eardrums, tubes, active infections, recent surgery, severe allergies, or skin conditions near the ear. We will assess your history and recommend alternatives when necessary.
For maintenance, many clients schedule ear candeling every four to eight weeks depending on wax buildup and symptoms. We recommend a personalized plan after assessment; chronic issues may require longer intervals or medical referral.
Ear candeling is typically offered to adults and older children with parental consent. We evaluate each client individually; young children, infants, and those unable to stay still are usually not good candidates for this treatment.
